LEEK have turned to the experienced Mo Hussain to lead the bid to return to the Premier Division at the first time of asking.
The club who were relegated from the top flight for the first time last summer, have signed the 33-year-old slow left-arm spinner as professional for the 2010 season.
Club chairman Brian Mellor said: "Mo has a proven track record in local league cricket. He is a constant threat to batsmen and will also score useful runs for us."
The former Pakistan Test player captured 57 league wickets last season to help Hem Heath retain their Premier League status. He also scored 360 runs. Prior to his two-year stint at Trentham Lakes, his five years at Stone saw them win both the Premier League title and the Talbot Cup.
