Leek have appointed Kevin Stoute as professional for the 2009 season.
Full name: Kevin Andre Stoute
Born: November 12, 1985, Black Rock, Barbados
Age: 23 years
Major teams: Barbados
Batting style: Right-hand bat
Bowling style: Right-arm medium-fast
Leek captain Jamie Cullerton commented "we were looking to get a contract tied up and are delighted Kevin has signed, he fitted in really well last season and proved himself to be a more than capable replacement professional. He's still a young lad who is going to improve. Kevin will give us more strength in our batting, fielding and bowling through is all round game."
Kevin came into the Leek team several times during the 2008 season, most notably in the successful Twenty20 finals day.
In 14 matches for Lancashire league side Crompton last year, Kevin scored 705 runs and captured 64 wickets. The all rounder also claimed two hat tricks - the first time the feat has been achieved in the league.
Kevin, pictured above has made a number of first class appearances for Barbados and boasts a highest score of 71 and best bowling of 6-64.
